Game Devs of Color Expo 2023 - Speaker Application
Thank you for your interest in speaking at the Game Devs of Color Expo 2023, which is taking place exclusively online!

If selected, your talk will be pre-recorded in July and aired during our expo taking place between September 27–30, 2023. We will work with you via a production company to make sure you give the best talk you can. We are serious about these being great talks, and you will receive a speaker's fee for your time and effort. Accepted speakers are also entered into consideration for our Game Dev Grants (up to $25k per team.)

The Game Devs of Color Expo is a global event where we give our audience talks that are entertaining, thought provoking, deep dives, etc. Because of that, we prefer new talks that are not online anywhere else. Wondering if it's been done before? Check out our YouTube channel to see talks from prior years.

We will be evaluating talks based on various criteria, including how they fit into the schedule. Please submit the best proposal you have. If you have any feedback or questions, email us at speakers@gamedevsofcolor.org.

We know it's our responsibility to create a conference that’s inclusive, safe, and represents everyone, especially people from traditionally underrepresented communities. As part of the submission process, we have included questions to help us ensure our lineup is inclusive and representative of our community.

When you complete this form, you’ll receive an email confirmation and a link to edit your submission. If you do not, please contact us at speakers@gamedevsofcolor.org.

Submissions close on April 14 at 11:59pm ET. Got more questions? See the FAQ.

Talk Proposal Info
The information submitted on this form is for internal review by the curation team. If selected, you will have an opportunity to update your information before any public announcements are made. Please note we do not accept baseline "Diversity/advocacy" talks, because Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are our baseline values. We want diverse people to talk about what they do that is awesome. We also tend to shy away from talks that focus purely on identity. We know that's important, but we want talks that are about what you do and how you think about your work in games.
